Lee Da Hae: Korea's Queen of TV Commercials
Korean pop idol Lee Da Hae (이다해 / Lee Da-hae) recently topped a Korean poll by fashion designers and TV producers as the year's favorite girl in Korean TV commercials. Born on 1984, Lee entered the entertainment world at the age of 17, but her name wasn't mentioned too often until her new TV series "My Girl" aired in Korea earlier this year. Playing the role of cute Yoorin in the comical drama, Lee's fresh appearance, dynamic personality and eye-catching acting skills won her overnight fame all over the country. Soon after that, she caught every one's attention by her impressive performance in a national wedding fashion show. Lee's popularity has skyrocketed ever since.
It was reported that the 22 year Lee received over 100 phone calls from various big companies within the span of one week, including Armani, LV, Gucci and Chanel, all trying to get the star to be their spokesperson. However, recently we've only seen her in a Chanel advertisement, but never heard any news from Armani and LV about signing Lee to an endorsement contract.
