After enduring a series of negative publicity following reports of Show Luo ’s involvement in a chat-room scandal, the Taiwanese host finally has a reason to smile.

Hong Kong publications TVBS Weekly and Dong Fang magazine have each published apologies for their inaccurate reports on the Taiwanese entertainer.

In May, Luo was embroiled in a chat-room scandal that escalated out of proportion after a woman he had chatted with went on to reveal details of their conversation to the press. She even claimed he had showed her a photo of him half-naked.

It later turned out that the reports were untrue and the details in the stories were misguided and unconfirmed. The controversial Next magazine is the only publication that has not issued an apology.

Luo who had initially threatened to take legal action against the magazines, said he has let the matter rest and forgiven the woman who framed him.

Though his reputation suffered a minor blip, Luo’s popularity remains sky high and the star is grateful for his fans’ continuous support.
