Girls' Generation
’s “Gee†was selected the most seen music video of the year. The Korean video website GomTV tallied all the hits on the site and found that the “Gee†music video topped the music chart list for ten weeks straight with 12 million hits overall.
Coming in second was
G-Dragon
’s “Heartbreaker†with nearly 9 million hits, followed by “Fire†by
2NE1 and “Lollipop†by
Big Bang
and 2NE1 in third and fourth place. The presence of 2NE1 and Big Bang members in second, third, and fourth place showed the power of industry giant YG Entertainment. “Abracadabra†by
Brown Eyed Girls finished in fifth place with 8.8 million hits. “I Don’t Care,†another hit by 2NE1, stood on eighth place and Girls’ Generation made another show on the list with “Tell Me Your Wish (a.k.a. Genie)†on tenth place.
GomTV said that the top ten music videos were based on the number of overall hits and weekly tallies. The list will be aired live on Gom Music GMC at one o’clock on December 18th.
