Carl Ng was born in Hong Kong to a Hong Kong actor father and a British mother who used to be a hair stylish for Bruce Lee in the 70s. Carl moved to England with his family when he was 12 and stayed there for the next thirteen years. He has been active in the showbiz since 2000. Before he started in the showbiz as a model, Carl was everything that he disliked to be. From being a waiter to cook to actor where he was cast in stereotyped roles in West End and Off West End plays. He took as a job a scuba diving instructor for 6 months in Thailand before he finally came back to Hong Kong to become a full time model and actor.
Regarding his choice in film roles, Ng has said: "I do gravitate towards darker roles, roles that other people hesitate to touch. I find them intriguing and an opportunity to try something different." He has also been involved with a number of AIDS benefits, and currently works with the Society for AIDS care in Hong Kong. Carl was also featured in commercials like Motorola and Sony Music Disc.
