Ekin Cheng's first movie "Girls Without Tomorrow" was made in 1992 after he starred in a line of TV commercials when he was still in high school. Before that Ekin was a martial arts student which he wasn't very much into it so he quit half way and enrolled in the acting school. That's how Ekin Cheng got his first stint in 1992 and followed by the movie "Young and Dangerous" that brought him straight to stardom.
Ekin Zheng Yi Jian also participated in a singing contest which he didn't win and it was also one of the reasons why he switched to the acting school. Ekin Cheng Yee Kin as involved in a relationship with Maggie Sui which was later broken when he met Gigi Leung in 1999. Unfortunately, after a 7-year relationship with Gigi, things didn't work out as well. Ekin is now rumoured to be dating Yoyo Mung. Ekin Cheng has his own books published and it was a hit, called "Look Into Ekin's Eyes". He was also an ambassador to Ocean Environment.
