Gillian Chung belongs to the Hong Kong pop duo known as Twins which is also one of her fame factors. Gillian worked as a model before becoming a full time singer and actress, Her agency referred her to Emperor Entertainment Group (EEG) in 2000 when they were looking for a talent. Gillian Zhong Xin Tong accepted the offer then formed a singing duo "Twins" with Charlene Choi in 2001 under EEG lead.
One year later, Gillian Chung Yan Tong got her first break in film. She starred in the film U Man which won her the attention from the right people. Since then, her name has become regular in TV commercials and more films. Gillian Chung was also involved the sex photo scandal with her then rumoured close male friend, Edison Chen.
