Hikaru Utada

Hikaru Utada, Japanese-American singer, songwriter and record producer. Utada is best known for her songs "Automatic" and "First Love". Her dubut album "First Love" became Japan's biggest selling album of all time with over 7.65 million copies sold in Japan alone to date. The release of her later works helped her remain one of Japan's top artists, with 3 of her Japanese albums being ranked in Top 10 best-selling albums ever in Japan!

As a female singer, she got two notable record achievements: she has had 12 #1 hits to date on the Oricon Singles chart, 5 of them being million-sellers and 4 placing in the Top 100 All-Time Best-selling Singles.

Utada married Kazuaki Kiriya, photographer and film director on September 7, 2002. After four years, the couple announced their divorce.
