Leon Lai's debut album called "Leon" went gold straight after its release which then followed by his subsequent album, "Meet In the Rain". Leon was also the first ever Hong Kong to break into the Korean Music scene and reach the Top 10 of Korean music chart by releasing a single in Korean titled "After Loving You" in 1998.
Apart from singing, Leon Lai Meng has also acted in many Hong Kong films and played various roles. As for his personal life, Leon Li Ming is rumoured to have had strings of relationship with plenty of famous Asian female celebrities. Back in 1996, he broke his personal record to win 16 awards in one night at an awards show. Leon Lai is one of the only four Cantopop Heavenly kings like Andy Lau, Jacky Cheung and Aaron Kwok.
