Masaharu Fukuyama

Masaharu Fukuyama is a Japanese singer-songwriter, actor, radio personality, and photographer. He debuted in 1990 with single Tsuioku no Ame on Naka. While he can also be seen in television dramas, Fukuyama is best known for his singing career and remains popular in Japan. He has nicknames Masha, Masha-nii, and Fuku-chan.

According to the annual survey of popular celebrities in Japan by the magazine "Cancam", Masaharu Fukuyama won the first place for the sexiest body, coolness, sexiest voice, and more. He is liked by all generations because of his appearance, voice and unpretentious personality.

Also an accomplished photographer, Fukuyama Masaharu was sent to Sydney to cover the Olympic Games by TV Asahi in 2000. He also has a late-night Saturday radio show, Allnight Nippon. This versatile actor/singer has also appeared in numerous advertisements for companies such as Panasonic, Suzuki, Suntory, Fujifilm, Xylish, Kewpie, and Pocari Sweat.

In 2007, after four years of disappearance, Fukuyama returned to television starring as the brilliant but eccentric Physics Associate Professor, Manabu Yukawa, in the widely acclaimed television drama Galileo. His outstanding performance in the role enabled him to win the "Best Actor" award at the 55th Television Drama Academy Awards.
