Tokio

Tokio is a popular Japanese pop/rock boy band formed by Johnny & Associates in 1994. It is made up of five men who were signed with Sony Records, but now switched to J Storm records.

They started as a band in 1994 with their debut single, "Love You Only". Tokio also performed the song "19 O'Clock News", used as the first opening theme for the anime series Kodomo no Omocha.

Tokio's single "Sorafune" has sold over 400,000 copies, and was still charted in the Top 50 four and a half months after its release.

In addition to their activities as a band, Tokio also act in dramas and host variety programmes, both as a group and individually. Additionally, Tokio were the hosts of Johnny's Countdown 2005-2006.
